Date Coding
When was it made?
Most of the individual parts on your Camaro have a date
code to indicate the time of manufacture. Here are some of these codes. You will also find
casting and parts codes on many of these parts. You can decode them on the Engine Code Page.

| The jack was coded with the 2 digit year on the base and load rest bracket. The rivet where the wrench was inserted was stamped with the month and year. |

The Irving belts all have an "A" code between the week and the year. It is not known what this represents, but it does not represent Chevrolet or Camaro.

There is another code near the valve stem that indicates the day of the month, 1 - 31.
